If Vernon was feeling good fresh off their 38-13 takedown of Lakeland Regional last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took a 20-6 bruising from the West Milford Highlanders on Friday. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for West Milford, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

As of now, neither Vernon nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
