Football Recap: Princeton Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Gerell Bogle and Teo Mcphatter + How To Watch

Princeton managed to slip by East Duplin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Panthers on Friday, falling 42-20. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Despite the loss, Princeton had strong showings from Teo McPhatter, who rushed for 145 yards and a pair of scores, and Gerell Bogle, who rushed for 139 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Bogle also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making two total tackles.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Duplin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaron Hall, who rushed for 112 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. The dominant performance also gave Hall a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Shawn Davis helped out on the ground, rushing for 90 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Duplin, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Princeton will welcome Seaforth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Duplin, they will head out on the road to face off against Richlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
