Baseball Recap: Wagner Thunderbirds vs. Veterans Memorial Patriots
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tivy, Wagner was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Veterans Memorial Patriots. The Thunderbirds haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Mark Riojas was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Olveda, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
