Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Williams Field). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Desert Ridge Jaguars 49-0. Given the Black Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Jaguars are ranked 82nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Williams Field was led to victory by Dominick Barjona and Courshawn Hill. Barjona threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, while Hill gained 140 total yards and two touchdowns. Those three passing touchdowns gave Barjona a new career-high. Trey Smith also helped out with an impressive 106 receiving yards.

Williams Field was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 200 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 161 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Williams Field didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dom Delgado and Mateo Gaines. Kentrall Jackson was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (4.5 for loss).

Williams Field now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Desert Ridge, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Williams Field will look to defend their home field on Friday against Boulder Creek at 7:00 p.m. As for Desert Ridge, they will welcome Cienega at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
