Volleyball Recap: Tatum Hameed and Avery Palinkas Secure Win for Nordonia

The Nordonia Knights were able to grind out a solid win over the Medina Battling Bees on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Nordonia was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 20-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Leading Nordonia to victory were Avery Palinkas and Tatum Hameed. Palinkas had 25 assists and two aces, while Hameed had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most assists Palinkas has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Nordonia was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Nordonia's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Medina, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Nordonia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Medina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Highland on the 21st.
