Huntsville extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 27-16-3 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sparkman Senators. Unfortunately, that's the fifth time they've come up short against the Senators this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-4 defeat last Tuesday.

As for Sparkman, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 38-12-1 record this season. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

For Sparkman's part, Eden Parker spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. Parker has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Laila Watkins was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Carly White also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

As of now, neither Huntsville nor Sparkman have any future games scheduled.
