Basketball Recap: Natalia Victorious

Natalia won the last time they faced Karnes City and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Natalia Mustangs walked away with a 52-41 win over the Karnes City Badgers.

Savion Nixon-Thompson and JJ Beaver certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Nixon-Thompson dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards, while Beaver dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. The game was Nixon-Thompson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Mayes, who posted two points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Natalia's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Karnes City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Natalia will take on George West at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Karnes City, they will square off against Harvest Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Harvest Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three matches.
