Basketball Game Preview: Plano Reapers vs. Sandwich Indians

Plano and Sandwich are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2021, but not for long. The Reapers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Plano's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Sandwich has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Plano will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Newark, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Reapers blew past the Norsemen 53-21 last Friday.

Chloe Rowe had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 47.4% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Le'Niya Viser, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 16 points.

Plano was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Sandwich lost to Wheaton Academy at home by a 51-37 margin on Tuesday.

The victory got Plano back to even at 2-2. As for Sandwich, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Plano against Sandwich in their previous matchup back in February, as the team secured a 57-25 win. Do the Reapers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
