Softball Recap: Frankenmuth Finds Playoff Glory Versus Owosso

With a playoff win on the line, Frankenmuth rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Owosso Trojans by a score of 9-5. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Chloe Compau was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May.

Compau wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Miranda Polley, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Polley has posted since back in May of 2025.

Frankenmuth's win bumped their record up to 20-12. As for Owosso, they moved to 17-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Frankenmuth nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
