Football Recap: Foothill Skates Past Richmond with Ease + How To Watch

Foothill's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Richmond Oilers 53-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their six-point performance the game before.

Foothill's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB nine times. The heavy lifting was done by Jonavan Duvall and Xavier Balderas, who racked up six sacks between them. Balderas also rushed for 100 rushing yards, which is notable because Foothill is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

The win snapped Foothill's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Foothill will challenge Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Richmond, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
