Basketball Recap: Moorefield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Berkeley Springs last Tuesday, Moorefield came back down to earth. The Moorefield Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Pocahontas County Warriors by a score of 55-52 on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets were probably out for revenge after losing 58-42 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Moorefield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moorefield will take on St. Marys at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Pocahontas County, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Pendleton County at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
