Softball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion and Columbus squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Marion had to settle for second. They lost 10-2 to the Cardinals. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

This is the second loss in a row for Marion and nudges their season record down to 19-8-3. As for Columbus, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 25-5-1.

While Marion had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
