Basketball Recap: Greenback Takes a Loss

Greenback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Harriman Blue Devils, falling 59-17. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-24 back in January.

Harriman was led to victory by Aaralyn Humphrey and MaKayla Williams. Humphrey en route to 14 points along with seven steals and five assists, while Williams dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. Those 13 points gave Williams a new career-high. Addison Langley was another key player, putting up eight points.

Greenback's defeat dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Harriman, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-12.

Greenback wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-9 loss against Rockwood on the 17th. As for Harriman, they have also already played their next game, a 68-60 victory against Jellico on the 15th.
