The Northwest Mounties will head out to face off against the Clinton Redwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Northwest got the win against Hastings by a conclusive 13-1.

Lucy Bivens (2025) was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Ava Golightly (2025) was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI. Golightly (2025) is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Ari Good (2025) was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Clinton was able to grind out a solid victory over Ida on Tuesday, taking the game 9-6. The Redwolves haven't had any issues with the Bluestreaks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Like Northwest, Clinton also got a great game from a two-way player: Taryn Hernandez. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Hernandez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kylinn Long, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Annabell Preston, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Clinton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Clinton's record is now 6-2. As for Northwest, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Northwest might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Clinton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Mounties avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
