Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Grizzlies vs. Davis Darts

Copper Hills was the 2-0 winner over Davis when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Darts by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Grizzlies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Darts 25-20 in the first set.

Copper Hills took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-21, 15-8.

Lindsey Whittaker paced Copper Hills' offense, picking up 11 kills. Whittaker got some help from Paige Jensen and her 33 assists. Alayna Niebuhr controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Claire Shupe had a dynamite game For Davis., getting 22 assists and 16 digs. Another player making a difference was Kate Donigan, who had 13 digs and ten assists.

Copper Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Davis, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Copper Hills will square off against Uintah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davis, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Field at 6:30 p.m.
