Amelia Ponce made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sadie Peyton, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last 12 games. D'Maya Wynn also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Crockett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.

As for Crockett, their record now sits at 5-7-1.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Crockett has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .490. However, it's not like Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin struggles in that department as they've averaged .504. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Crockett's way against Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Crockett made off with a 13-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crockett since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
