Football Recap: Lee's Summit West Comes Up Short

Lee's Summit West lost against Lee's Summit back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans took a hard 33-15 fall against the Tigers. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Leading Lee's Summit to victory were Drew Benassi and Karsten Fiene. Benassi rushed for 149 yards and three scores, while Fiene rushed for 132 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 149 rushing yards gave Benassi a new career-high. Peyton Hatfield helped out on the ground, rushing for 94 yards.

Lee's Summit West's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lee's Summit, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee's Summit West will host Raymore-Peculiar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
