Baseball Game Preview: Santiago Cavaliers vs. Santa Ana Valley Falcons

For the second straight game, Santiago will face off against Santa Ana Valley. The Cavaliers will head out on the road to face off against the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santiago is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Santiago is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Santa Ana Valley 17-1 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Evann Hernandez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Cortez, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.

Santiago always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Santiago's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Santa Ana Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
