Basketball Game Preview: Lutheran Warriors vs. Academy for Business & Tech Gators

The Lutheran Warriors will challenge the Academy for Business & Tech Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lutheran is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 16 games.

Last Thursday, Lutheran didn't have too much trouble with Greenhills as they won 49-34.

Lutheran got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Becky Reddeman out in front who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Reddeman has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 43 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Shulters, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Academy for Business & Tech came up short against Crockett Tech on Friday, falling 28-6. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lutheran's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.8 points on average over those games. As for Academy for Business & Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Everything came up roses for Lutheran against Academy for Business & Tech in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as the team secured a 59-12 victory.
