Baseball Recap: Beloit Memorial Takes a Loss

The Beloit Memorial Purple Knights lost 8-2 to the New Glarus Glarner Knights on Tuesday.

Beloit Memorial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen West, who went 2-for-4 with one run. Callen Espinoza also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Beloit Memorial has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for New Glarus, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Beloit Memorial will head out to face off against Brookfield Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Glarus, they will be playing at home against Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Glarner Knights are facing the Redbirds at the right time seeing as the Redbirds are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
