Softball Recap: Bunn Wins Going Away Against Rocky Mount

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southern Nash, Bunn was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rocky Mount Gryphons with a sharp 19-1 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by nine runs or more this season.

Peyton Alford was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. Maycey Buchanan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Bunn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Bunn's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Rocky Mount, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
