The Gainesville Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Catholic Celtics at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gainesville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Gainesville barely beat DME Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hurricanes were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the - on Thursday.
The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-14, 26-24.

Gainesville can attribute much of their success to Addyson Hauptman, who had 13 digs and six assists, and Whitney Kinsell, who had seven assists and five digs. That's the most digs Kinsell has posted over her last ten contests.
Meanwhile, Trinity Catholic came up short against Berkeley Prep on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Celtics have struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
While Trinity Catholic ultimately came up short, they really made Berkeley Prep work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 14-25, 27-25.
Gainesville will have to contain Lyla Huggins as she made an impact in Trinity Catholic's last game. She had 20 digs and four aces. Huggins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played. Isabella Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Trinity Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Gainesville, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
Gainesville couldn't quite get it done against Trinity Catholic when the teams last played back in August as they fell 3-1. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
