Basketball Recap: Lincoln's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Lincoln lost against Olentangy Liberty back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lincoln Lions fell to the Olentangy Liberty Patriots 41-37. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Patriots are ranked 39th).

It was another big night for Maria Stack, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 18 points and eight boards for Olentangy Liberty. Another player making a difference was Claire Mikola, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

The loss snapped Lincoln's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-7 record. As for Olentangy Liberty, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Lincoln has already played their next game (against Westerville Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Olentangy Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Hilliard Bradley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Olentangy Liberty has won five straight at home, while Hilliard Bradley won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
