Baseball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Minster Wildcats, falling 16-1.

Shawnee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Bender, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Minster, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shawnee will take on Wapakoneta at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Minster, they will face off against New Bremen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
