Basketball Recap: Valdez Takes a Loss

Valdez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 48-38 to the Lathrop Malemutes. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Malemutes this season, with their most recent defeat being a 57-19 loss last Friday.

Valdez's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Lathrop, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Coming up, Valdez will take on Hutchison at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lathrop will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Valley at 6:00 p.m. on February 25th.
