Softball Game Preview: Maysville Panthers vs. Meadowbrook Colts

Maysville is 0-4 against Meadowbrook since April of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Panthers will welcome the Colts at 5:00 p.m.

Maysville saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They fell 6-1 to Meadowbrook.

For Meadowbrook's part, Addy Sichina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Addy Wiggins was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Vargeson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Meadowbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maysville only posted a batting average of .160.

Meadowbrook's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6. As for Maysville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
