Basketball Recap: Thales Academy Apex Falls Short of St. David's in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Thales Academy Apex couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a hard 39-21 fall against the St. David's Warriors on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 60 points in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Eliza Everett was her usual excellent self, putting up eight points in addition to eight boards and seven steals for St. David's. Everett is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Hauser, who posted six points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Thales Academy Apex's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for St. David's, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Thales Academy Apex does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. David's, they will head out on the road to face off against Concord Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Concord Academy comes in on 12 and St. David's on four.
