Soccer Game Preview: Fairview vs. Shepherd

The Fairview Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Shepherd Bluejays at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairview's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Fairview fell victim to Alcona and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Shepherd also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 8-0 to Standish-Sterling on Monday. While losing is never fun, Shepherd can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 451st, while Standish-Sterling are ranked 174th).

Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Shepherd, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.
