The home team had won the previous six meetings between West Mesa and Eldorado, and Eldorado kept the tradition alive. West Mesa came up short against Eldorado on Saturday, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

West Mesa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evelyn Lopez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, West Mesa hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

West Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Eldorado, they pushed their record up to 6-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

West Mesa has already played their next game, a 20-0 win against Highland on the 25th. As for Eldorado, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 18-6 victory against Valley on the 25th.
