Baseball Recap: Forrest's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Forrest can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Cascade Champions. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Champions, too.

Tyler Baxter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Baxter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Kason Fuller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Lane Smith also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Forrest now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Cascade, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.
