Volleyball Recap: Landmark Christian's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Landmark Christian lost against Lovett back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The War Eagles fell 2-0 to the Lions. The game marked the first time this year in which the War Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Anaya Yates paced Landmark Christian's offense, picking up three kills. Yates got some help from Kaitlyn Brezina and her seven assists. Arianna Carbone controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lovett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Margaux Godfrey, who had eight digs and one assist.

Landmark Christian moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Lovett, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Landmark Christian has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Dutchtown on the 9th. As for Lovett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against East Paulding on the 9th.
