Silver Creek is 9-1 against Centaurus since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Raptors will host the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Silver Creek will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Silver Creek's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Frederick with a sharp 9-0 win. The Raptors haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Not much got past David Church, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Frederick off the board. Church also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Silver Creek is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Silver Creek let Brody Simpson and Nick Quintana run wild. Simpson went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Quintana went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave Quintana a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezra Hicks, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Silver Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Centaurus didn't have quite enough to beat Horizon on Tuesday and fell 4-3.
Liam Sweeney was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Dylan Glenn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Silver Creek's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Centaurus, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Silver Creek got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Centaurus by a conclusive 9-3 score. Will the Raptors repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
