Basketball Recap: St. Augustine Prep Takes a Loss

St. Augustine Prep and Union Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. Augustine Prep had to settle for second. They fell 63-51 to the Vikings. If the Hermits were looking for revenge after losing 66-50 to the Vikings when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Augustine Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Union Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

St. Augustine Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union Catholic, they will take on Paul VI on Monday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
