Baseball Recap: Ranchview Wolves vs. Jefferson Patriots
After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Ranchview brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Everything went their way against the Jefferson Patriots on Thursday as the Ranchview Wolves made off with a 16-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.
Martin Samford made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Samford is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stole at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
