Baseball Recap: McBain Comes Up Short

McBain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manistee Chippewas. If the Ramblers were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Chippewas when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

McBain's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Manistee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. McBain will take on Manton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manistee, they will head out to challenge Montague at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chippewas' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
