Meanwhile, while it was Wes-Del who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Eastern Hancock who put up more. The Warriors came up short against the Royals, falling 14-6.
Rylei McCord and Marley Bertram stepped up to the plate in a big way. McCord went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Bertram went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That triple was McCord's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Keylie Byrd, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Wes-Del's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Tri-Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Tri-Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. However, it's not like Wes-Del struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tri-Central suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Wes-Del when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
