Basketball Recap: Fort Recovery Drops Season-High Score on South Adams

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Recovery). They breezed by the South Adams Starfires to the tune of 62-17 on Monday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-4.

Despite the loss, South Adams saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ana Lehman posted 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Lehman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Mariana Tenorio also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first rebound of the season.

Fort Recovery has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for South Adams, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Fort Recovery has already played their next match, a 38-21 loss against New Knoxville on the 30th. As for South Adams, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-42 victory against Fort Wayne Canterbury on the 28th.
