Baseball Game Preview: Olympic Trojans vs. Palisades Pumas

The Olympic Trojans will take on the Palisades Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympic's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five matches, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Olympic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Ballantyne Ridge on Friday, falling 15-1.

Meanwhile, Palisades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of South Mecklenburg. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Palisades saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Rowland, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Palisades' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Olympic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Everything went Olympic's way against Palisades in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as Olympic made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olympic since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
