Volleyball Game Preview: Loogootee Lions vs. Bedford North Lawrence Stars

The Loogootee Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Bedford North Lawrence Stars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Loogootee will be strutting in after a win while Bedford North Lawrence will be coming in after a loss.

Loogootee barely beat South Knox the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

While Loogootee might've won, it sure wasn't easy: South Knox scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Bedford North Lawrence came up short against Seymour on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-15.

Loogootee's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Bedford North Lawrence, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.

Loogootee skirted past Bedford North Lawrence 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
