Volleyball Recap: Leopold Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Leopold, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Oak Ridge Blue Jays 3-0 on Monday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Blue Jays recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-17.

Malia VanderMierden went supernova, getting 24 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Leopold was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Ridge only served one.

Leopold's victory bumped their record up to 25-5-2. As for Oak Ridge, they moved to 22-6-1 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Leopold is taking a road trip to square off against St. Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oak Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Marquand-Zion on the 14th.
