Northwestern had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 78-68 victory over the Spooner Rails. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Rails are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwestern's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Spooner, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Northwestern nor Spooner have any future games scheduled.
