League recap: Dadeville stuns Central of Clay County in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Dadeville, who defeated 46th ranked Central of Clay County, 14-0. C. J. Tolbert ran for 71 yards in the win.

The Tigers extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 3 this week by beating the Volunteers, 14-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the Dadeville.

Beulah's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Caleb Boone threw for 118 yards and Trevon Brown had 119 yards receiving. On the ground Brown chipped in 98 yards. David Eastridge helped Beulah's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 28 yards.

The Bobcats' dynamic duo of Boone and Brown proved to be unstoppable against Handley, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Eastridge helped Beulah's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 28 yards.

Brown provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Beulah lost to the Tigers. He completed 6 passes for 28 yards and also ran for 98 yards. Brown's key target this week was Brown, who caught 7 passes for 119 yards.

Jimmy Thornton made the biggest impact on defense this week as Jarrod Wooten's team lost to Handley. The 5-foot-9 senior recorded 1 fumble.

Elmore County's Michael Walls and Javon Moore have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Walls has thrown for 1,715 yards this season, while Moore has 48 catches for 837 yards. Richard White's team's Tolbert leads the league in rushing yards with 1,034.

Holtville lost to Childersburg 27-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
