Volleyball Recap: Hingham Takes a Loss

If Hingham was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Plymouth North on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Harbormen fell 3-1 to the Pembroke Titans on Wednesday. The Harbormen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-0, 0-25, 25-0, 25-0.

Megan Koenen paced Hingham's offense, picking up eight kills. Koenen got some help from Abby Kracunas and her nine assists. Liana Melgoza controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Hingham's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pembroke, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hingham is set to face off against their familiar foe Marshfield at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pembroke will challenge rival Plymouth South at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
