Baseball Game Preview: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. Cox Falcons

The Great Bridge Wildcats will challenge the Cox Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Great Bridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Kempsville an 8-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, Cox faced Ocean Lakes in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Falcons beat the Dolphins by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Dolphins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Great Bridge's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Cox, their win bumped their record up to 22-2.

Everything went Great Bridge's way against Cox in their previous matchup on May 9th, as Great Bridge made off with a 12-2 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
