If Strother wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Weleetka, they should've done a better job of containing Isaiah Drake. The Outlaws simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Yellowjackets 54-0 for which the team can thank Drake, who rushed for 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 233 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
Another player making a difference was Bryant Sites, who picked up 130 receiving yards and three scores. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing two fumbles and making six total tackles.
One reason for the win was Weleetka's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Noah Hare with two.
Weleetka's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Strother, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.
