Volleyball Preview: Lutheran Crusaders vs. Nokomis Redskins
Lutheran has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. After both having extra time off, they and the Nokomis Redskins will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Lutheran was able to grind out a solid win over Bunker Hill, taking the game 2-0.
Lutheran was dominant in the first set, but otherwise had just enough against a tough Bunker Hill squad. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17.
Meanwhile, Nokomis entered their tilt with Vandalia on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Vandals by a score of 2-0.
Nokomis was dominant in the second set, but otherwise had just enough against a tough Vandalia squad. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-9.
Lutheran has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Nokomis, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
