Baseball Recap: Issaquah Gets the Win

While Issaquah's win against Hazen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Highlanders 3-2 on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

Landon Gray and Raghav Madan dominated on the mound. Gray pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Madan tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Issaquah saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffin Neel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Issaquah and bumps their season record up to 10-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Hazen, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Issaquah will host Woodinville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hazen, they will take on Bellevue at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
