Basketball Recap: Tiverton Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Tiverton had lost five straight headed into Monday's matchup, but Brendan King didn't let it get to six. The Tiverton Tigers pulled ahead with a 49-48 photo finish over the Johnston Panthers on Monday thanks in part to King, who posted 18 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Tiverton's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-15-1. As for Johnston, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tiverton will host Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johnston, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cranston East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
