Basketball Game Preview: College Prep of America Thunder vs. Westminster Christian Warriors

The College Prep of America Thunder will head out to square off against the Westminster Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Monday, College Prep of America had to suffer through a 87-36 loss at the hands of Blue Island Eisenhower. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, College Prep of America had strong showings from Hamzah Shouman, who went 8 of 16 en route to 17 points and five rebounds, and Zayd Ansari, who posted six points. Shouman's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 62 points the game before, Westminster Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Schaumburg Christian and fell 67-29. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Conquerors: they've now lost four in a row.

College Prep of America's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Westminster Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

College Prep of America beat Westminster Christian 57-50 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for College Prep of America since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
