Baseball Game Preview: Quapaw Wildcats vs. Riverton Rams

The Quapaw Wildcats will square off against the Riverton Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Quapaw's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

Quapaw barely beat Colcord the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Hornets on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Hayden Radford was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has become a key player for Quapaw: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 11-14 otherwise. Radford was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jace Gregory, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Quapaw's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-3 (and 5-12 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Ayden Bruton, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
